Upcoming: "School's Out! Junior & Newbie Short Track Night" (this Monday 6/15)

Hey everyone,

A couple updates ahead of our third night of of the Portland Short Track Series (http://www.portlandracing.com):

1) This Monday (6/15) is "School's Out!" Junior & Newbie Short Track Night!

The school year has officially wrapped up, summer is here, and temperatures will be back to normal. Perfect timing for our special Junior & Newbie Short Track Night!
Check out these deals:
- All new short track racers (who have never raced a Portland Short Track Series race before) will enjoy $10 off the regular day-of-race fee!
- Juniors can come out and race for just $5, when registering online by Saturday Noon! (Or $10 if you register at the race)
- All newbie adult short track racers (i.e. folks who have never raced a Portland Short Track race before) will enjoy $10 off the regular day-of-race fee!
- OBRA will waive the $5 single-day OBRA license fee for any non-OBRA members!
To top it off, Elaine Bothe, Ted Byram and 8-time Short Track Series winner Shannon Skerritt will be teaching FREE drop-in short track skills clinics on the course, from 4:30 to 5:30pm (they will meet at the bleachers next to registration, but you can join them later whenever you arrive).
We will also raffle off some cool prizes among all juniors and newbie racers!... so spread the word and bring along your friends!

3) Another night of Short Track, another round of weekly raffle winners!
Every time you come race short track, you get a chance to win some cool prizes, courtesy of our generous sponsors. Our featured winners of the week: John Napier, who wins a free wheel build/repair by short track racer Mark Lipchick of Fast Carbon Wheels (wheels/materials not included) and Tom Webb who wins a free race entry to this Sunday's Race for the Future XC MTB race in Washougal, which promises to be a great event!
