Support for Cooks Meadow Extension Proposal

Thank you for your work as a natural resource planner in our Mt Hood
National Forest. I am glad we we have someone to do that job seriously
for us. I am writing you regarding Township 02 S., Range 10 E.,
Section 22, 27, 34. I fully support extending this the Cook Meadows
trail as proposed. This proposed reroute will be much more engaging,
as it will reduce the hassle of dealing with motorized traffic. I
would love it to be built to the proposed "more difficult" trail
standard (2309.18.31b, Ex 01). Please consider keeping the tread no
more than 24 inches wide. This is important to our enjoyment of this
scenic area. Please also consider naming this section after Ranger Jim
Thornton, whose tireless efforts at building and coordination are
sincerely appreciated by the trail users who he serves.
