Not sure if anyone else saw it today, but in the Oregonian Metro
Section (E) Page 3, Stephen Beaven's "Back Seat" shares an interesting
idea about cyclists and right of way.

I was not going to chime in on all of this cyclist vs cars debate that
has been going on, but I think he brings up some good points (some not
so good ones too). The one thing that he mentions that I stress to
all of my friends, is the use of hand signals. I for one am not the
perfect cyclist and would never say that I was, but one thing I always
do is signal. Heck, I probably over signal. But isn't it our duty to
do so, I mean that is the law right? I hate when I drive and drivers
don't use them, but it peeves me even more to see when cyclists don't
use them.

I'm off the soap box now.
