Crusade callup points for early races

Modified rules for Le Mans starts: If the guy/girl next to you stomps on your wheel effectively ending your race, he/she shall pay to replace the wheel, repay you for your entry and travel expenses, and provide you with a half rack of your favorite beer, bottle of wine, case of fancy water, or bag of boutique coffee. Brad Ross shall be the arbitrator or all disputes and his word shall be final.

We did a Le Mans start at a race in Creston park back when we could race
in Creston park. The guy who had his bike next to mine stomped on my wheel
effectivly ending my race before it started.
Needless to say, I'm not a fan.

No call ups. Le Mans start with a 100m run to the bikes. That'll weed out those who want to finish in the front and those who either can't or aren't interested.

Anyone? Or are call-ups going to be based on the wrong data that's being displayed now (I'm perfectly happy with that because it means I don't need to be racing right now)?

Brad,
It might be because the rest of the cats need to arrive at the start chute
an hour before their race to push and nudge for a start spot. As Candi
mentioned, that is the way it used to be. The Crusade might want to return
to a more "medieval model" (is it the Crusade!) for cats other than the more
refined groups you mentioned....especially the Master Bs. Unlike us, those
cats need things to be more orderly.

Anyone know why the Cross Crusade Callups tracker is only showing Women,
Juniors, and Masters B?

Call ups are an idea that the Crusade came up with to alleviate the queueing up of riders so far in advance. This is not an OBRA thing, it is entirely up to the independent race organizer. If you have questions or concerns you should address them directly.
But as my grouchy husband always says. "If you don't like it, put on your own bike race"

It would appear to me that the intent is for folks to have a single weekday opportunity to gain points - since both of the races are on the same day. I am curious though why there's not a Twilight date on there - too small attendance? Not on the same day as the PDX and Bend races to ensure folks don't try to hit more than one?

Using week day racing to determine call ups seems pretty rough for everyone
that lives outside of pdx.

So, just to clarify, only those single races count on those days? And how deep do placing go to earn points?

Thanks

Drew

(For what it's worth it seems like a series result should / Could be considered. There are some good ones pre Crusade (thrilla, GP, Blind Date, Trophy Cup). Anyway, just my ten cents.)

Scott Willson and OBRA graciously setup a way to track your call-up points for the first Crusade race. The link shows which races count for call up points.
