Melanie Rathe
Note from race promoter:
We have had to make a major change to the race today, as I learned one of the roads in the event is now under construction and will be CLOSED to all users this Saturday. It was an oversight by the Forest Service to permit this work and the race on the same day.
Anyhow the event will go on, but we will be moving to a different location. The race will now be out on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River, a unique and great place to hold a race, and one typically not permitted, but as the Forest Service dropped the ball, they have given me special access.
We will still hold registration at the same place and time, but will be driving out to the race site from Oakridge. It is a 20 mile drive taking about 45 minutes. We will be able to start and end the event in the same location, with both the short and long course starting and ending in this location.
new course map up online. See link below.
Sorry to hit you with a late in the game change, however I think we have come up with a great back up plan and I believe it will be an easy event to time.
