Blind Date at the Dairy 2015 Starts Tomorrow. Here are some helpful
updates:

1) Preregistration ends today at 5 pm.

2) Registration at the velodrome starts tomorrow at 4 pm.

3) Season passes include a rad Blind Date t-shirt from noted Blind
Date designer "Mr Kic!" We have a big crew of volunteers to expedite
season pass and t-shirt pick up this year.

4) In the spirit of American Ninja Warrior, Tony designed and built
our Belgium Cross Steps. Each two steps are a cross bike's axle width
apart. We will have a great prize for the first Blind Date racer who
successfully rides our Belgium Cross Steps on a cross bike during their
race! See our Facebook page for a glimpse!

5) Master's Categories are all age 40+, but for our new 50+ and 60+
fields. Please ignore any uncorrected reference on our website or flyer
which erroneously states 35+. We're getting this fixed, but hey, this
is the Blind Date!

6) Have you heard the fabulous Latin band Fernando & Friends? You
will tomorrow night! We'll have them stationed on the course,
serenading you on your date. Please try not to crash into them!
Dancing on and off the pedals are encouraged!

7) We've been riding The Course. The ground is damp, fast and
smoother than in prior years, with no dust! Come out and enjoy the
ideal cyclocross conditions!

8) Our first annual OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Fund Raiser will
be at Blind Date 3 on 9/30/15. Your walkathon-style sponsors will pay
their pledged amount for each racer you beat in our handicapped, one
lap, Stampede race at 5:45 pm. This is a great way for you to
contribute to an awesome cause, and to encourage inexperienced friends
to get a taste of cyclocross racing in a user friendly and fun one lap
race! The Knight Cancer Institute has raised over $800 million from
over 10,000 sponsors in all 50 states. Grass roots events like ours
help the Institute attract multimillion dollar contributions from major
donors. OHSU will spend the money right here in Portland, to fight
cancer and to help protect us from blind dates with this horrible
disease. Stay tuned for more details. We'll have swag for all
participants. Contact joe@joefield.com if you'd like to help.

9) We'll have Giant Demo Cross Bikes at the 21st Avenue Bicycles
neutral support tent! First come, first serve.

10) Toddler Cross & Kiddie Cross will start at or just after 5 pm! No
registration is needed, but parents must fill out and sign OBRA waivers
for each participant.

11) Prizes from 21st Avenue Bicycles for winners of each race, with the
exception of payouts for Mens' and Women's A fields.

12) We'll award Castelli Leaders' Jerseys each week to the prior week's
winners.

13) We'll have Call Ups for all racers showing up in past-years'
leaders' jerseys at Blind Date 1.

14) Blind Date series standings count for call ups in the mighty Cross
Crusade.

15) Series Standings are calculated from your best 4 out of 5 races!

16) Visit the OBRA calendar or our Website www.crossseries.com for our
race flyer/poster and race bible, but please ignore any reference to age
35+ masters (because our categories are 40+).

17) Josh the Vegan Caterer will be back with tasty meals for sale,
which should satisfy all reasonable dietary requirements!

18) Neutral Support will be available from our awesome sponsor 21st
Avenue Bicycles!

19) Please remember to respect Alpenrose's private lawns, no alcohol
policy and that we are privileged to have use of this incredible
facility.

Have tons of fun!

Joe & Tony
