blind date week two!

thanks
to everyone that made it out to the season opener last week. the course
was dialed, the weather was sweet, and the jams of fernando and friends
set an incomparable mood as the sun set over the hills. just a few
items of note before we line up for week two...

-Castelli leaders
jerseys and elite payouts will be at registration for the winners from last week. please
bring 1/2 gal of honey (preferred, but pudding is acceptable), pink
glitter, eye protection, and a kiddie pool for the acceptance ceremony.

-we
were short a few shirts for season pass holders (sorry! clearly our
limited edition was a bit too limited) , but we are pushing through
another run and will track everyone down when they arrive in a week or
so.

-real talk: we have received complaints from the neighbors
that cyclists are riding too aggressively on surrounding streets on race
night. what seems like toodling around and chatting to us can seem
pretty menacing when you live on the silent streets of the SW hills.
true- it's not illegal to ride your bike, but we ask for the sake of our
race and the image of OBRA that everyone is chill- do your warm up
jumps in the parking lot or on the YAS spin bikes. i know, i know. thank
you.

-21st ave will be set up with the support team and fresh
GIANT demo bikes. thinking about an upgrade? best test ride ever. the
Vegan Caterer is baking up ziti and pumpkin bread. we'll burn through
five cases of Stumptown cold brew and have fresh beans for the prize
list. YAS will have the spin bikes out so you can warm up proper and
keep us out of trouble. it's a good plan.

love, tony and joe
