MessageWant to add fixed gear riding to your training and/or commuting this winter? Well..I have a bike that is ready to go with full fenders!
It's a mid 80's steel frame TREK (around 54CM I believe). While this frame is a tad on the small side (I am 6' tall) I did not notice any discomfort from the frame size. I have a longer stem (aprox 140mm) to compensate for my ape arms so a shorter rider may wish to run a shorter stem. This bike is good for anyone wanting a good commuter/training bike or just wants to get into riding the fixed gear bike for all the fun and benefits. It sports a 42/18 gear and is good enough for the plethora of rides offered by David Auker! :)
I got my self going on a fixed with this bike and am now ready to spend some big dollars on a nice custom built Dean Reed ultimate fixed gear commuting machine!
I have a picture of this bicycle on my website. Its a sharp looking litttle bike and a comfy ride with the steel frame.

Here is a rough list of some of the components.....
-Well worn but bomb proof Specialized Armadillo tires
-Scott drop handlebars
-Mavic CXP21 front rim with 105 hub
-Mavic MA5 rear rim with Suzu flip flop hub (getting this wheel built alone cost about $200)
-Surly 18t rear cog on the fixed side. (no freewheel installed on the flip side)
-Dura Ace lock ring
-42t front chainring
-Tourney cranks
-full fenders with water bottle flaps
-One Shimano 600 front brake
-two brake hoods (one is a dummy)
-Hootah horn (for use on multi use trails when one needs to make their presence known!)
-Selle saddle
-bottle cage
-pedals not included
