Uma Kleppinger
Dear OBRAland:
Timing is everything, and due to unforseen circumstances I've got 11 days to find a new place to live. I had a month-to-month place lined up, which has fallen through.
WHAT I NEED: A quiet room in a quiet mature household. Or an in-law, or detached studio. Must have bike storage (garage/basement/etc). I have 6 bikes that get regular use and require secure storage.
ABOUT ME: I'm a copywriter (about bike stuff), published author, and brand communications professional. Meaning: I help emerging brands and companies develop their identity and market their goods and services. Many of my clients are in the bike and outdoor industrybrands you know and use. My preferred modes of riding are MTB first, dirt jumping second, and anything else third. I'm very active, but also very quiet, extremely respectful of boundaries, excellent communicator. I have an office on N Broadway and commute by bike often, but I do have a car to get up to the mountain.
PRICE: Open. I'm more interested in a stable environment with compatible energies and a good location than a price point. Location and environment are important to me. Will consider as far out as Vancouver (downtown). Alternately, a coastal or rural mountain rental for six months through the winter would work too.
Please feel free to share list listing with anyone who may have property to rent or share. At a 2% vacancy rate, Craigslist and other referrals yield few results.
