You can ride your geared bike - you just have to lock out the shifting.
For those of you who don't read the OBRA rule book every year, a new rule was passed this last winter/spring that changed the definition of a single speed bike for Cyclocross. As long as you can't shift, you can use a geared bike. So unplug your Di2, zip-tie your shifters, or whatever else it takes, and use your geared bike in the single speed race.
Here is the rule (equipment rules specific to cyclocross)7.10.6 Singlespeed Bicycles A single speed bicycle is defined as a bicycle with no functional
means of altering its gear ratio during the competition.
So you don't "need" to get a single speed specific bike to race this category. Just run what you brung (and lock out the shifting to make it legal).
