Hello ORBA-land,

Now is the time to join for your youth to join Camas Bike and Sport and the Lacamas Freedom Riders on their quest to get more kids on bikes through Student Mountain Bike Team Program. If you have or know a student 6th thru 12th grade in East Clark County that may be interested, there is an informational meeting Thursday, January 7th @ 6pm at Camas Bike and Sport (located at 403 NE 5th Ave, Camas, WA 98607).

Team information: For the past 5 years, Camas Bike and Sport has fostered a Student Mountain Bike Team; the first 4 competing in the Washington Student Mountain Bike League and last year shifting to competing in the OBRA Junior MTB Series. This team is the first ever Indie Club representing NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling League nationalmtb.org) as advocates for Oregon getting their own league. The team is set up in as a way to introduce kids to the sport of mountain biking or provide a team environment for youth riders that have already begun the racing experience. All levels and genders are welcome. If you are interested in learning more about the team or possibilities of getting more Oregon Teams established, please contact Ed Fisher or attend the Informational Recruitment Meeting this Thursday at 6pm.
