Is the speed/cadence sensor working? Have you already tried replacing the battery? When you push the reset button on it and turn the cranks, are the red/green lights blinking in response to the crank arm and wheel magnets? If not, it's not a syncing problem, it's the sensor itself.
The Garmin chainstay antenna speed/cadence sensor (aka GSC 10) has been replaced as they were prone to premature failure. I've burned through four of them in three years for no good reason. Eventually they just stop working, especially if you spend any time at all riding in the rain. They are water resistant but not water proof. Garmin has replaced the GSC 10 with two new sensors that mount to the crank arm and the wheel hub. No magnets required, no alignment issues, no zip ties necessary. When my last GSC10 stopped working last month, I picked up the new sensors and they work fabulously. Westernbikeworks has them in stock here: https://www.westernbikeworks.com/product/garmin-edge-speed-cadence-sensor-kit . Garmin reports they are compatible with the 510. Good luck. Brad

I am trying to sync my Garmin with the old speed/cadence sensor (the one on the chainstay) with no luck. When I reset the device and search the Garmin doesn't find it. Any suggestions on getting this to work?
Thanks
