Bike Donation?

Hello OBRA Land!

In continuing to build a high school cycling team over here at Tualatin High School, one of the biggest hurdles I face is getting rideable/somewhat raceable bikes for kids who want to participate. Does anyone out there have an older, but pretty serviceable, MTB hanging up in their garage or shed that has served more as artwork than steed over the last few years?

I was recently approached by two students showing great interest in getting involved, but they are in need of something more workable as a MTB. One is 6'3" tall and would require a larger frame, the other a much more petite female in the 5'3" range.

If you think you have something that fits the bill and would like to donate it, I have Tualatin High School Tax ID that can be used as a wonderful write-off this tax time of year. Also, if anyone is interested in giving monetarily, we a Kickstarter like account which runs through our school. The only downside is it takes $2 off the top of each donation. You will have to enter some personal data, select Tualatin High School, then Bike Club and the rest is self-explanatory....all deductible also.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone out there for the positive responses and support I received from a previous post about the development of high school cycling. I am always proud to say I am a cyclist:)

Best,
