I just rebuilt my 2013 Salsa Horsethief size xl with slx brakeset, xt cranks with Race Face narrow wide ring, 10 speed xt cassette with wolf tooth replacement ring for wider range, xt rear derailleur mated to slx shifters, new cables and housing, DT/Stan's wheels with Ardent 2.4s - tubeless, Easton stem and Carbon riser bar 760 width, new Cane Creek headset, fox dropper post and specialized Venge saddle. I bought a new Fox Racing Shox 34 Float 29" Fork 140mm CTD 15mm for the front end and the rear is a Kashima coated CTD Fox shock as well.

I am craving a simpler ride as my sons have gotten into bikepacking. I am looking for a hardtail - with either front shock or completely rigid. Ideally something with room for meatier rubber - a 27.5+ or 29+ bike would be awesome, but am also open to 29ers perhaps even a cool 26er - in the same size range - 21.5: or xl.
