Olay folks, I have a small task for ALL of us. The promoters have done

their part; Candi and Mike have done their parts. They all have asked

the media in Oregon to cover the different races. And as all of you can

tell, there hasn't been much besides our own cycling publications. The

media is very much like politicians, unless a lot of people write in,

they won't do anything. After Candi courted the Oregonian all cross

season, they finally came out this weekend.

We have a great sport, but to continue to thrive year in and year out,

the sport is going to need some media coverage outside the cycling

community. The best opportunity for media coverage is this coming

weekend. If we concentrate on a few media outlets and enough people

write in, maybe we can get some more coverage. Remember when writing

them to include what, when and where.

Below are some links and mail addresses. AM Northwest also will do a

thing, if enough people show up to their studio during the taping.

Would someone or team be willing to contact and organize a day with

them?

Please for the future of our sport, take some time out of your busy day

to write these media outlets and tell them that you wish they would

cover Nationals. Also if you represent a business, tell them as a

business that you would like them to cover Nationals.
