I would not spend much time time riding on Wilsonville Rd. I have worked near Newberg for the last 15 years ride almost every day at lunch. I have only ridden on that road a couple of times and only for very short stretches bridging less traveled roads on Parrett mountain. The sight lines are very poor, there is no shoulder, people drive very fast, and it is the most direct route between Wilsonville and Newberg so traffic can relatively heavy. I would strongly suggest taking the very lightly traveled roads like Tooze, Parrett Mountain, Pleasant Hill and Haugen. The alternative routes are very hilly but have almost no car traffic. I would not even consider riding on Wilsonville road near the morning or afternoon commute. -Jon

Hi, all.  It's been awhile since I"ve ridden on Wilsonville Rd.  My last trip a few years ago was a nightmare, dodging high speed rock carrying dump trucks, presumably from Newberg Rock and Dirt.
My question is: Has the traffic situation changed on Wilsonville Rd. or are the dump trucks still rolling?
