Wipf and Stock Publishers is looking for a temporary, full-time, data entry specialist for a large database project, with the potential to transition to a permanent position if the applicant has additional skillsets.

About the Job
The individual will be responsible for updating and correcting records in our custom FileMaker database system and making sure records conform to guidelines provided by management. Additional tasks may be assigned as time and skill level allow.

Position is temporary—six to nine months, but if the individual has shown excellent promise and has particularly strong technical skillsets in IT or in marketing, the position may turn into a permanent, full-time position.

Requirements
You are organized, detail oriented, thorough, and care about the small things that can make or break a project.
You are kind, patient, have excellent customer service skills, and you enjoy helping people on a daily basis.
You can take direction from others.
You must be able to type 40 to 50 words per minute.
You must be able to analyze and comprehend different types of information.
You have technical aptitude, are computer savvy, especially on Macs, and you have experience with Word, Excel, web browsers, and Gmail, among others.
You are also web savvy and can take initiative to research particular topics and learn skills on your own without direction.
You are good at project management, multitasking, and can manage your time well.
You are very trustworthy and can maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Experience
Database experience is a plus and experience with FileMaker is a strong plus.
You are a creative, outside the box thinker, and you can research, analyze, and apply technical knowledge.
A strong technical aptitude in software, IT and the ability to learn new systems and skillsets that will allow for advancement.
Marketing experience, especially in social media, is a plus.
A two year or four year degree is preferred.

Benefits
Starting wage is $14 to $15 an hour.
Insurance is available if position transitions to a permanent position.
401K eligibility after one year if position transitions to a permanent position.
