3-6 months sublet -- with some flexibility +/-, in the Multnomah Village area.
Are you very independent? That's good--so am I! Are you cool with kids being around sometimes? Great!
I have one unfurnished room available in a lovely 3 bdrm/1.5ba Apt.
550 plus utilities (electric, internet) $40ish background check.
In the beautiful and scenic South West Portland (just 3 blocks west of Multnomah Village) is this 3bdrm/1.5ba top floor apt (one set of steps). Theres only one wall bordering another apt and it feel less like an apartment than one would expect. Inside youll find large windows in every room with amazing natural light that complements the tree level view. Theres laminate wood flooring throughout, and a spacious kitchen that leads nicely to the hall/living room. Each bedroom has great windows/light and a good sized closet. The largest bedroom has an attached private half bath and an extra closet with shelving. That one could be yours. Overall the area is quiet and peaceful.
Laundry room with a washer and dryer (coin) on site plus a small storage unit that Im not using. Plus just across the street theres a Mr. Suds with plenty of high capacity washer /dryers available. Bus line 45 runs just off the apartment (one stop is within eyesight and covered too) Minutes to PCC & Lewis and Clark. Easy access to I5 North and South. It takes me about 20 minutes by bike to get to the West end of the Hawthorne Bridge (there are three routes). Grocery stores galore and a Plaid Pantry/Papa Johns just a 3 minute walk away. One parking space is assigned, which I utilize, but there are many visitor spaces available too.
A little about me/us. Im pretty laid back easy going and my children are well adjusted (8boy/5girl). If youre the same itll be a great fit. I am a busy, social father of two who loves cycling, trail running and the outdoors in general. My work is a traditional morning to afternoon schedule and Im home most evenings. I like to cook meals when home, and it's important that we can share/coordinate using the kitchen.
The home is clean and sanitary, but personal items here and there throughout the house are totally acceptable. There are a couple of bikes in the place: BreadWinner, Black Box Steel CX bike, Scott, Trek and some wheels too. The quiver could still use some company though.
You are:
Someone who has a life outside the home and isn't at home constantly hermitted up and not social. Basically a well-adjusted adult. An understanding that Ill have my kids over about 3 days/nights a week and are not put off by their presence. We can discuss that as needed too.
Comfortable with text communication and open communication about guests and kitchen needs etc.
Conscientious about the environment and try to use natural products when available.
Value both having a home as your sanctuary and as the occasional gathering space.
Drug free, non-smoker, and occasional drinker
Have a stable job, proof of income, and proof of employment
hit me up if you would like any photos or to discuss further.
