My wife and I have been to Maui in February 3 times in the last 6 years to get our cycling season started off right. We've stayed in Paia, not rented a car, and absolutely loved being able to ride from there and cover the whole island. We are thinking of going back again next February, but are also tempted by the idea of checking out the Big Island, which we've heard also has some good cycling. Does anyone care to share their experiences cycling on the Big Island? Even better if you've ridden both Maui and the Big Island and could give some comparisons.
