Trying to get back into mtb, Just recently built some 650b ryde edge 22
wheels (22mm inside) . Fairly nice rims until i tried to mount some vee grv
"gravel" tires. With tires hot from a sun soak, I got them on but it
wasn't pretty / worse tire mount ever, and practically speaking I don't
see how it will work. It was just as hard to get them off, hard to not
mess up the rim strip or slide it = tubeless fail.
Obviously these tires are very tight but also I am thinking the rim is
large and not much of a cavity? Kind of had the feeling that these might
be too narrow of rims, and definitely not deep enough! These might be
regulated to commuting duty with 650b Road tires..

Any similar experiences with ryde rims or vee tires ?.

Any recommendations on 650b dirt road tires? that aren't too tight ?

So probably planning on some second wheels anyway.
Looking at velocity blunt ss? Other than being really light and thus maybe
somewhat fragile, Any opinions? Can you get the tires on and off, etc.

any other rims ?
