Charlie,
I would love it if you could tape the first 30-40’ right after the ditch at the top of the climb. Unless it is super dry, the cones just do not keep people on the course. When muddy, that flat grassy area of the course keeps getting wider as riders seek a line on either side. Tape will keep them on course. I know it is work for set-up and tear-down, but makes it more fair for all.
