An incredible race

Pack Fodder

I've wanted to race Corvallis Cross since it first opened. Finally did. Wow. Worth the drive. Sorry I didn't race there sooner. Lowest entry fee by far-I actually did a double take when the total rang up, most original course, AND a Pint glass! And a bumper sticker!!!!!!!! Some larger NW venues could learn a lot from this mid-valley promoter.

They accommodated Portlanders with a late start on the first race of the day and had great food and drink options. We even had a neighbor playing bag pipes for an hour across the fence from the most brutal section of the course!

What you missed-A pallet obstacle course with eighteen possible ways thru, large ramp, a small jump, green houses, gravel, barriers, a hot house (sucked if you wear glasses....) and MUD!!!!!!!. And about 8-12 choice locations to crash (I mean "show off your handling skills") each lap!!!! This gets my vote for Best Course of the Year. Way to use the features of the venue to enhance your course. If they could find a place for a sandbox it would have everything!!!!!

Chocolate whipped cream handups (spayed from the can while in motion no less) et al only made it better.

Thanks to the enthusiastic fans, volunteers, and everyone else involved!
