I had frozen shoulder aka adhesive capsulitis a few years ago. Normal
function returned with a program of stretches prescribed by the sports
doc, and available here:

When the condition threatened to affect the other shoulder, the
exercises nipped it in the bud. Now I do a couple of them regularly.
