A quick note in support of the Sauvie Shootout ride. I think that this ride could become an important fixture for the Portland area cycling. It's important that we see riders across age groups and categories take part to make this ride stick. The more people we have the more opportunities there will be to form numerous groups once we hit the island. If you are slow, come and try to stick as long as you can. If you are fast, come and dictate the race... I mean, ride. Personally, I found the ride to be outstanding race preparation. I also liked the fact that there had to be riders from at least ten different teams (as well as unattached riders) out there.
