FYI, Eric Aldinger posted the following update on course conditions from Petr on Monday: "The snow is melting and the remainder is being removed by the trail care crew. The weather is providing some magic. It will be snowing or raining at Government Camp and it is sunny (or at least dry) at Bear Springs for the course maintenance. This year's course will be slightly shorter for Pro/Cat 1. The section to the top of Rim Rock is not working into the overall design this year. Racers will exit after the first half of the gravel road. We think that will make the tired riders happy and will shorten the course by about 3.5 miles."
I checked Tripcheck and it looks like the snow line starts at Warm Springs Junction (where US26 meets HWY216, at roughly 4,000 ft). The entire 2017 course is below 4000 ft, so there shouldn't be that much snow left. That said, you should be prepared to drive through snow around Government Camp on US26. Some folks will be pre-riding on Saturday so hopefully they can share more updates. Otherwise, just pack some layers and run what you brung!
