just to let you all know i did a little calling to the landfill and water treatment facility here in bend. the landfill has a household hazardous material drop-off on june 19th (maybe other areas have that too). and the water treatment facility thought their plant could handle the water with the degreaser-oil mixture just fine.
it is nice to hear some of your environmentally sensitive remarks

And do not forget that if in landfill, the grease etc that Joe expressed concern about are still there.
Personally I reuse my same rags, clean them and use them, etc. I use citrus degreaser to clean them b/c the grease will be there on new or cleaned rags, but the making of the new rags, whether cotton or paper is an added environmental cost. Reusing keeps those fish safer that new every time.
