OBRA Members,

Earlier last fall Candi and Mike Murray, after countless years of
dedication, expressed their intent to step away from both the Portland
Velodrome Committee (PVC) and any leadership at the velodrome. The
velodrome community, after expressing their eternal gratefulness for Candi
and Mike's leadership chose a temporary PVC group to maintain velodrome
operations for the 2017 season. Another group was tasked to draft new PVC
operating agreements and procedures.

Recently, some of the temporary PVC operations group members stepped down
from their positions. Some community members expressed a need to elect new
people for those vacant positions. The OBRA board has decided not to
backfill these two positions for the 2017 season.

The OBRA Board will be meeting with the three PVC operations members at the
July OBRA board meeting to discuss the rest of the track racing season and
transitioning into a permanent PVC structure.
