I am in a little trouble. My Mavic Cosmic Elite Cassette body is ruined. It feels very constrained and full of dirt.
I had it serviced at a out of town bicycle shop (I won't mention the name). They basically washed it out with WD40 and put some lube, not grease, in there and charged me 12 dollars. Within one rainy ride it was back to crunch, crackle, and pop full of dirt.
I think I will have to purchase a new cassette body. Does anyone have one on hand or are there any bike shop owners reading this now that can help me out before I give you a call?
My local bike shop will have to wait 2 weeks just to get the order confirmation from Mavic. They don't have any in stock. Do you have a new cassette body that will fit my Mavic hub?
