The 2017 River City Bicycles Cyclocross Crusade celebrates Oregon's State Affair: CYCLOCROSS!!!
This year, the theme is Oregon State Fair, a family-fun theme.
We are challenging all teams to create a carnival atmosphere and compete in games and with homemade goodies!
Each venue will have it's own category.
The Crusade crew will judge the entries of each team and each weekend a winner will be awarded the Coveted Prize...the Venue Flag!
Here are the Venue Competitions:
Alpenrose Dairy RACES 1 & 2
CARNIVAL GAMES!
Transform your team tents into a midway carnival.
Challenge all spectators and racers to prove their prowess with your game of skill and chance!
Prizes for the most difficult, most ingenious, and most ridiculous.
(Guessing weight games not allowed ��� leave that to CRUSADA)
Cascade Locks RACE 3
COHO WIND DISPLAYS
Kites, windsocks, flags, or??? Take advantage of the Gorge winds.
Bring your handmade wind decor and display at your team tent.
Prizes for height, longest flight, most colorful, etc.
Heron Lakes RACE 4
PIE CONTEST
Can you bake better than your mom? Here���s your chance to prove it...
Ice cream optional!

HALLOWEEN COSTUME COMPETITION
A Cyclocross Crusade Tradition! The official costume race is Sunday but costumes on Saturday are welcome, too.
Judging will take place on Sunday. Prizes for best individual and team costumes.
Note: a Borat suit or tutu is not a costume. Don���t come in last year���s costume...you will win only heckles. And keep it PG please...

ARTS AND CRAFTS "Made in Oregon"
How creative are you? Putting a "bird on it" is not creative.. but what is?
Show us your best handicrafts! If we like it, your entry could be a course feature!
Only handmade arts & crafts will be judged.
Barton Park RACE 8
CHILI COOK-OFF
Time to huddle 'round the fire over a big pot of chili. Which team has the hottest?
The tastiest? The most original? Earn bonus points for homemade corn bread!
For the record, Kevin says Hormel is not chili!
GENERAL RULES AND CONSIDERATIONS:
Team competitions are judged by the Crew, but participation is for the entire race community!
Think green! Bring reusable and/or compostable dish ware.
If you pack it in, please pack it out.
Venue garbage facilities are limited.
Last but most importantly....HAVE FUN!
