The CX hangover (promoters get it too!) is starting to wear off just in time for our Blind Date season 9 finale.
Last chance this year to work on your night moves under the romantic flickering high pressure sodium lights of the parking lot corkscrew...
last journey of olfactory contrast through the production odors around Rusty's gazebo, and by what is obviously a grow operation somewhere along the back side of the velodrome...
Last chance to wonder when the breaker is going to pop on the big generator to set the mood, ride the stairs (yeah it's slower, but way more rad!), shralp the berm, pass on the doublewide barriers, or race the STAMPEDE on something ridiculous.
But for real:
One more night to enter the ISLABIKES kids race and the drawing to win a complete bike!
Lots of moving around and upgrades in the series points, make the right moves and you could end up in a Castelli Blind Date leaders jersey.
The 21st ave bicycles/Fat tire farm team will be set up to keep you in the game, and
Stumptown Coffee will have the cold brew and fresh beans.
A few details for this week:
SPARKLE NIGHT!
We will have a few pairs of the Castelli Blind Date custom gloves for sale ($20) in select sizes, check in at registration.
Due to drainage problems (perhaps you noticed the pond in the velodrome a couple weeks back?) we can only offer a bike wash after the last race. I'll set it up after our last rider goes through.
Unfortunately, we had our first sort of thievery in as far back as I can remember on Sunday. It was an expensive lesson, so please don't leave any low fruit for the baddies to take off with. We had our guard down and left valuables out, Just lock your stuff up and it should be fine.
