Adams, Mike
I am so tired of this wheel discussion. A buck is not a lot to ask to get a premiere program like this funded now and into the future. However one chooses to donate, do it and race. It is a small price to pay.

"I don't think the dollar should be waved, even if you do bring wheels,
until the program has finally caught up to it's deficit in spending"
People can, of course, feel free to continue to pay even if they put wheels
in. In fact OBRA can always handle more donations as money is one of the
few things that you can't have too much of. Donations to OBRA, by the way,
may be tax deductible since OBRA has 501(c)(3) status. What is more
important is to establish an ongoing revenue stream associated with the
wheel program and, at the same time, encourage people to continue to bring
their own wheels for support.
Steve also asks:
"How are these advertisements getting at the tops of all the post all of a
sudden?"
Topica sent around a notice on this subject announcing that there was going
to be this change. They sell the advertisements and it is the cost that we
bear in order to have the list serve available at no cost to us. Topica has
elected to put these ads at the top, no doubt in an attempt to make them
more valuable to the purchasers of the ads. To date, we have not found a
more attractive way of hosting the OBRA list.
