"clothes - lined" 205 bikepath

While we are on the topic of crimes, watch out for this one:

A couple weekends ago on a sunny Sunday afternoon I was tooling up the East

side of Mt. Tabor. As a silver 4 door was going down the opposite

direction, I noticed a barrel pointed out of the slightly lowered back

window. A f***ing kid shoots me with a paintball gun! The ball hit me in

the hip giving me an instant welt and spewing paint all over my highly

valued cycle wear. While screaming expletives I spun around and gave chase.

I stayed on them for about 10 blocks and lost them near 82nd. Never got

close enough for a plate #. After I cooled down I reported it to 911 and

they already had other reports. Keep your eyes open out there, crazies

abound!

Wow! I'm glad you are "ok!" Best would be that it didn't happen, of

course...

Did you see the perpetrators of the crime? Pranks are pranks, but that's a

crime...

   Warning!!!

I had a crazy thing happen yesturday. I got "clothes lined" on the 205

bike

path just north of Division. Some boys tied a kite string across the

path

at chest hight. Luckily I was riding along minding my own business,

singing

a song, riding no handed with my hands up across my chest. And all of

a

sudden I was down on the ground tanggled up in kite string. Luckly just

my

thumb was cut and, even more lucky, the cut stopped just before hitting

tendon or vein. (If I'd had my hands on the bars it might have cut my

throat.) After a tetanus shot, some steri strips and a pat on the head,

I'm good to go. Yes, I will let the police know. Kind of put a damper

on my good mood.

Riding into a boobie trap kind of sucks. Lessons: thank god for

helmits

and ...... I'm so lucky I don't live in a "real" war zone where that is

the

norm and the weapons much, much more deadly.   Jennifer
