Dear NW Racers,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the final day to register online for the
2018 Gorge Gravel Grinder presented by Castelli. You CAN still register at
Saturday's packet pickup on Saturday from 5-7 PM at Mt. View Cycles in Hood
River OR on race day at Clocktower Ales in The Dalles but race day costs
you an extra $5.

We have strong field signed up and are expecting close to 350 coming out
for this year's event. Once again we will have chip timing and prizes for
the top three men and women for each race distance including a custom
Castelli winners jersey!

Many have asked about road conditions. It is going to be fast for gravel.
This week's weather is going to deliver really good conditions. Storms
looking to be coming through in the next three days and then backing off
Saturday night leaving Sunday looking warm, moderate wind and overcast.
Roads will be packed tight and the moisture will keep dust down and roads
firm. It is looking so good with temps in the high 50's and winds under 10
MPH (unheard of in the Gorge).

My tire of choice would be a Clemente Strada LGG 28-32 and stout tubes.

So make sure you sign up tomorrow and remember your registration comes with
more than just the ride. It includes pint glass, shirt, beer, and lunch as
well as amazing aid stations!
