Friends,
For those who use the Hawthorne Bridge in Portland, the county has resigned the bridge. Now each side is "one way" for bicyclists.
Additionally the "ped right/bike left" signs have all be removed and replaced with "bike yield to ped" signs.
If you think this is great or horrible or swell or the worst thing ever, there are two hearings about this issue next week.
Tuesday, 4/13/04 is the Portland Bicycle Advisory committee meeting, 7 pm, cityhall, 1220 SW 5th ave, lovejoy room
and
Wednesday 4/14/04, is the Multnomah county BAC meeting, 7 pm, Multnomah couty building, 501 SE Hawthorne, room 112
I am happy to talk off list with people about these issues.
