I called Michael, as was suggested in a couple of e-mails to this list,
and he didn't instruct me to show up by 9:30. I don't know where this
9:30 thing is coming from other than those that didn't pre-register. As
a matter of fact, I showed up 30 minutes prior to my start time and was
told I didn't need to do anything accept be at the time in time.

One other point. Tom says the following:

mentioned, nothing that warranted the situation he caused,
just his personal issues and desires.
I was very clear about why it needed to be changed.
1. They told everyone to be there no later than 9:30, and people were
going to have to wait for three to five hours. I though that was
unreasonable for everyone and not just me.
2. I told him that it was more dangerous to run a TT that late because
traffic would increase, and there would be the potential for more auto
conflict. Last year, we had a number of problems with motorists.
It was not just my personal desires, but a better and safer way to run
the event, but then I often find that Tom often does not listen very
well once he has made his mind up. He just nods until you go away.
Also, everyone was complaining. If Tom did not know, he was not
listening (see above). Lets not be selective about our recollection if
you are going to send this to the world. In the future, I would
suggest that we discuss these matters privately. Since we have decided
to make this one public, then I guess we can have at it and boor
everyone on the list or we can take it offline. Your choice.

Dear OBRA list, Estacada TT organizers/promoters and officials,
Since I already posted to this list once today in SUPPORT of the
organizers of the TT, I am upset that my company's name was used as
sponsor of the team when the scene was created by individuals. I
understand that sponsors want to get the good press from a team, and
thus may also get bad press, but why mention the team name when the
individual is to blame?
I have contacted the individuals and the team management to ask them to
respond to the race promoters. I, for one, think this should go
off-line if we want to encourage sponsors to continue to pay teams for
