I would argue that a limit on the chainring only is really not a gear ratio restriction at all. It is however, a restriction which may preclude many from being able to enter sans buying a new chainring (and cog no doubt).



I respect the promoters rights to place any rules they choose on a category, but this one seems like the intent and implementaion are not one in the same.

I'm fairly new to fixed, never raced on the track. Maybe suspend the

'get lapped and your out' rule for this race?!! I love riding fixed,

but as a 5 I'm not sure if I want to throw myself in with those pursuit

monsters of Alpenrose.

Island Crit. There are many requests to have a restriction on gear ratio.
