Speaking of Brasstown Bald... back when there was an pro/am omnium

(1989-90-ish when I did it last) there was a time trial up that beast. In

the pro 1/2 several of the 7-Eleven guys *ran* their bikes up the steepest

section - which proved to be pretty smart since they took the top spots.

After reading the race reports at cyclingnews.com I did a little searching

for Brasstown Bald, the site of todays finish. The USFS has a video camera

up there! I wish I had found that earlier. Might have been able to see the
