Well folks,
Today is the last day to register on-line for this year's event. As of late
last night we had 259 entries. To check out the roster, go to
http://www.obra.org/columbiaplateau/roster2004.htm. There is a tab for each
'field' and one tab showing the demographics of entries, for those
interested in this sort of thing.
A couple of points to note:
The Cat 3/4 field will be split this year into a Cat 3 field and a Cat 4
field. The Cat 3s will be doing the long Stage 1 loop (same as the
Pro/1/2s) while the Cat 4s will be doing the 'normal' short loop. The Cat 3
prize list will be that same as the 3/4 listed on the website; the Cat 4's
will have a $500 prize list that goes 20 deep in GC. It will be posted at
registration, if we don't get it posted on the web before then.
We did not get enough Master 50+ entries to warrant a separate field, so
Master 40+ and Masters 50+ will all be riding in a Masters 40+ field.
The start times will be a bit different from those posted in the bible, due
to field changes. Please be ready so that we can start all groups on time.
We're going to start the first riders 1/2 hour earlier in the time trial;
first rider off at 8:30. We're also going to start the first group 1/2 hour
earlier on the final road stage on Sunday morning.
Here are the estimated start times for each stage, but these may change
slightly between now and Friday so please check for start times at
registration and be prepared for potential slight schedule changes.

Masters 40+ 1:00 PM short loop
Pro/1/2 1:10 PM long loop
Cat 4 1:15 PM short loop
Cat 3 1:25 PM long loop
Women 1:30 PM short loop
Stage 2 (TT):
Pro/1/2 8:30 AM first rider off
Cat 3 riders in each field will start in reverse GC
Masters 40+
