Candi Murray/Oregon Bicycle Racing Assn

Many of you know about the program Dave Nute of Velo Kraft has undertaken

for 2004 in sponsoring a team or under 23 riders from New Zealand. I just

got back from a very nice bar-b-que welcoming 5 out of the six good looking

young men to Oregon. They are off to the coast of a 3 day camp to get to

know each other and then will be showing up at almost every road and track

race in the state after that. I have given them all OBRA numbers that start

with Z so that you can all identify them (of course if they open their

mouths it is a dead give away). Please make them feel as welcome as you

make all new riders!

the six rider is still at the New Zealand Olympic trials and while wishing

his luck, we are selfishly hoping that we will be joining us soon.



Team Rubicon is also sponsoring a Kiwi-ette and she will be arriving late

June.



Nice to see that the racing in Oregon is so good that they are coming to us!
