There are just four weeks until the 2004 River City
Bicycles Mt Tabor Series kicks off.
I want to make a few clarifications regarding the new
fixed gear category.
1. It is a fixed gear race, single speeds are not
allowed. If you attempt to sneak a single speed into
the peleton you will be tarred, feathered and Candi
will report you to the USAC.
2. Your steed needs to have one working front brake, a
rear brake is optional. If you go over the handlebars
and eat park pavement that's your own issue.
3. There will be no gear restriction. You may do to
your knees whatever you please.
4. Yes, the race is free if you enter another [geared]
category, $7 otherwise.
5. Cash prizes are paid weekly to the top 3 finishers
($25, $15, $10), there is no series prize. Note that
you will probably have to wait for me to finish the
race to get your dough. I may need oxygen.
This years Mt Tabor Series is on June 9, 16, 23 and 30
and July 7 and 14.
Geared racers can save $2 by bringing canned foods.
Volunteers race free for a mere 60-90 minute time
commitment--email me.

See you there.
