Nope, you're right. I'm in Seattle, and it's 4-5 hours to Whistler, and 4-5 to Winthrop. Round and Round races pale in comparison to OBRA races. They cost a small fortune and frequently have short courses with short mileage. Winthrop is one of the better ones though, from what I hear. I've raced it in the fall, but not in the spring. It is a cool town to visit. There is some nice riding in the area too, but it's all high (up to 8K or so), so may still be snowed in.

Just looked up this race on roundandround.com to learn that:
1. You need a NORBA license
2. Race fee for is $41* + $10 late fee (*only $32 for sport/expert and
$19 Beginners)
3. After looking up Winthrop, WA on a map, it seems that this race is
about as far away as Whistler BC? Am I wrong? HOLY CRAP!
Nothing published about a NW Cup series tangible prize list... Is there
one?
