The first full Fast Twitch Friday at the Alpenrose Velodrome was pretty
successful. There was a good turn out of riders, especially for the
beginner's field. Racing was done quickly and we were able to leave the
velodrome by 8:30 after having 3 races. It looks like have a second weekly
track session focusing on short events will be a success. Things will get
even better with just a few more people turning out for the "Sprinters"
field. This will allow them to break this group into 2 or more fields so
that us not so fast sprinters will also have competitive races. The women's
field will also get better with just 2 or 3 more riders. I would like to
encourage everyone to come out and give it a go.
This week at the track on Thursday we will be doing 200M TTs. Everybody
gets to do as many as they want. We will use those times to separate the
sprinter fields for Friday nights. We will also be doing Team Sprints.
Bring your 2 team mates to set a time or match up with someone else a the
track.
