Last year Geri Bossen ran kid's classes at the Alpenrose Velodrome. These

were scheduled after school is out for the summer and were held during the

day time. The idea is to have sessions working on introducing kids to the

track and developing their skills. The targeted age group is 10 to 15. The

sessions were held over a limited period of time, 6-8 weeks. We have a

fleet of new 43 cm bikes added to the regular rental bikes to support this

program.



The catch is that Geri is not going to be in town this year to run this

program. I am looking for someone else to take over. Primarily what is

needed is organizational input. If this sounds like something that you

Lots of people talk about how we need more youth efforts in bike racing.

This is the time to step up to support this idea. We have all the hardware

we just need the people input.
