<DIV></DIV>>>I think that many junior race the MTB series because of the High
<DIV></DIV>>>School series. As soon as that series is done we will see a major
<DIV></DIV>>>drop in riders. I think this reflects an organized mass
<DIV></DIV>>>transportation problem. The schools shuttle them to those races
<DIV></DIV>>>and that is it, when school is out they have to fend for
<DIV></DIV>>>themselves. On the road side there is no High School series, nor
<DIV></DIV>>>with cyclcocross. In cyclocross the juniors that are consistant
<DIV></DIV>>>either have a team that provides mass transportation (Rad Racing)
<DIV></DIV>>>or parents that are supportive.
<DIV></DIV>>>
<DIV></DIV>>>I also have heard many adult cyclist say that they can not make it
<DIV></DIV>>>to events because they are a one car family and can't leave the
<DIV></DIV>>>rest of the family without a car for a full day.
<DIV></DIV>>>
<DIV></DIV>>>With gas prices going up we will see more people that can't justify
<DIV></DIV>>>the cost.
<DIV></DIV>>>
<DIV></DIV>>>One idea that I think could help is a shuttle. If there was a bus
<DIV></DIV>>>that left from Portland, Eugene, Bend or Sourthern Oregon I think
<DIV></DIV>>>more people would attend. This is the same idea as the ski bus.
<DIV></DIV>>>
<DIV></DIV>>>Just a thought.
