I followed the Masters 40-49 Sunday. When a break of six went up the road
about a minute and a half, I made the decision to leave the support car with
the main field and take a set of wheels up to support the break. Six turned
to five, then four, and finally three. I followed the three for about 30
miles until it turned into a three up match sprint.
In the afternoon, I followed the women on their 55 mile trip. Two laps into
the race, Jenny Slawta and Ann Schlerert were up the road as the main field
slowly disintegrated. The 2 rider break had almost 5 minutes on the main
group at one point.
