We have already seen Witty race fixed on a flat course at Swan Island.

The

introduction of the hill at Tabor would be unlikely to increase his

speed.

After all, I am told that his nickname is Gravity Sled. We have yet to

see

Weaver (the lesser) race fixed gear of any sort. I do know that he has,

or

at least had, a track bike as I was associated with obtaining it for a

gift

giving occasion. He has told me that he lacks the fortitude (see

Newman's

note) to ride it on the track. These things make the outcome of such a

duel

difficult to predict. My money might be on Candi.
