Thank you Mick and everyone else for your calls, emails, cards, flowers,

visits, and general concern. I am out of the hospital and getting around pretty

well. I should be back on the bike in a few days (hopefully) and racing again

before the seasons over.

I guess my first note was blank, so I will try again...sorry if this is a repeat for some.

Mike is still at Emmanuel in Portland tonight, but all looks good. He has a concussion, sore ribs and shoulder, and the cuts and bruises one would expect from head-butting a guard rail at 30mph. Actually, Mike was able to break the fall with his face, so it's difficult to tell exactly what his injuries are. The hospital will do an MRI tonight. Unless they see something unexpected, he will go home tomorrow.

I don't usually speak for the team, but in this case I am comfortable saying all of us from Hutch's thank the race and support staff for the care Mike received. We also thank our fellow racers for your support and concern.

Ron

All,

Mike is actually still at Emmanuel tonight, but everything looks good. He has a concussion, sore ribs, a sore shoulder, and some cuts and bruises He was still having some nausea today, so they wanted to run an MRI before releasing him. They will do that tonight and, unless they see something unexpected, will send him home tomorrow.

I don't normally speak for the rest of the team, but I will here because I know all the Hutch's guys thank everyone for their concern and support.

Thanks,

Ron

I just want to wish Mike, and was it Jeff Bannick? a speedy recovery. That crash was frightening. It was hard to start racing again after seeing the helicopter take him away.

And Hutch's WON the race too!! Way to go Paul.
