Dear Mrs. Deardorff and all the friends of b.i.k.e.,

Peggy you are such a kind, thoughtful, and methodical volunteer. I wish we

had a hundred more like you.

I also want to give a special shout out to donors Roger Joys, Mark Wilson,

Darell Provencher and all the kind clothiers at Nike. Without them, this

summer could not have been as cool.

I hope every one will enjoy reading more about Oregon grown, b.i.k.e in

Parade Magazine in your Sunday paper on Sunday the 27th.

Now,

About Kids on Bikes:

Kids on Bikes is throughout the week - 4 days per week in the

afternoon(12:00-5:00) ALL SUMMER.

It is very light riding for an good athlete like you.

Mondays and Wednesdays we race in the field and do bike mechanics at

NoPoBiWorks nearby on Mississippi Street.

Tuesday and Thursdays we go on the street for community field trips.

But what I feel we need most is someone who drives a SAG Wagon (their Car)

on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons when we take to the street on our field

trips.

About Lolo and the Barlow Trail Century presented by River City bicycles for

the Kids of b.i.k.e:

My logistical responsibility looks like this:

1. getting kids to Gresham by 7:00AM.

2.   A.7:00AM-9:30AM thanking, selling and introducing all the kids to the

nice people supporting them.

Setting up and manning a table where the Kids of Bicycles and Ideas for Kids

Empowerment can introduce themselves and say Thank You!

We also want to explain our new project with Habitat for Humanity.

B.9:30AM Frost and Legros and all other food servers must be up to the

Lolo pass feed station setting up by 9:30AM. Including the kids who are

selling lemonade.

3.

A.Kids will be run way out onto the course so that they have a much shorter

ride to our feed station at the Lolo turn around. Our little family is

responsible for smoothies up there. I need help with another extension cord,

another blender, more soy milk, ice, orange juice, apple juice, blueberries,

raspberries, and banana's.... or any thing folks want.

B. We should create, cook, and set up anything we need for a party our own

selves.i.e.

4. The Team will ride back from Lolo down to Gresham as a Team at 2:00PM,

for all who want to ride back as a Team.

Call for more info, any time. 503-234-8454

Best Regards,

JB
