I just wanted to thank you all for everything you've done in this past week. It looks like BartonPDX has met their first goal of reaching $50,000. They still have lots of events planned so please don't feel like you have to donate any more, if you want to go the events and have a great time, awesome. I hope to make it to the one planned during cross season. But I wanted to express my gratitude to you all. This has been the hardest week of my life, and you all made it easier. Although I would not have been able to do anything this past week without the support of my loving wife Jessica who has just been amazing, and my wonderful family.

I started racing 3 years ago at PIR STX and I instantly fell in love with racing and the community. I loved listening to the jokes and trash talking at the start line. I wanted to be a part of it, but didn't know anyone yet. However, it didn't take long to meet some awesome folks.

3 years later I had a great group of friends and was on a really fun team, Staccato Gelato. These guys have been so supportive this past week I cant believe it.

Anyways, I could go on and on about what I like about racing and OBRA, but I've blabbed enough. The point of this letter was just to say thanks, and express how grateful  I am for everything and let you know how rad you all are.

I'd love to hear from any of you - but please reply off list - I dont want to clutter the message board. I apologize if it takes me awhile to respond, I should be heading into rehab by Monday and most likely won't have access to a computer (maybe a phone).

I'll se you at the races soon, although this time it'll be from the sidelines.
