Folks, particularly Steve and Luciano... Mike has been talking this up

for years and has done considerable research on the subject. Yep, a

velodrome is possible in the colliseum, and yep, it's been suggested.

To make it happen will take a considerable amount of pressure on the

decisionmakers.

It's fortunate that the primary proponent of a sports complex at the

Colliseum is Doug Obletz, who is a cyclist and understands the

possibilities. Give Doug a hand, organize an advocacy group now to

provide support for an indoor facility. Get Doug and his folks at

Shiels/Obletz involved in that effort.

Please all of you out there that need something to do in the winter

besides cross. Respond lets get this happening make PDX the home of

pure cycling. ADT may have built the facility down in Carson, living

in LA for the past twenty I can tell you both dominquez and encino

were under used and had no local fan base. That is what makes PDX

unique this should be the place cast your vote now. Of course send

them all to Truesdale seriously lets hear from you Obraland.

It is the same type of complex and fits the needs of

the city of Portland perfectly.
